The Third Anniversary of Avanti Advisors: Durability, Strength, and Flexibility

I read somewhere that the traditional symbol for the three-year wedding anniversary is leather.  And so perhaps this same image can be used to reflect on Avanti’s anniversary as we look ahead to our fourth year of relationships and partnerships across the country.  I believe that our company is now in a place, like that leather, of durability, strength, and, as always, flexibility.

To say we have been fortunate would be the most understated thing I could say.  Since our public launch on May 4th, 2023 we have created partnerships with seven Archdioceses, thirteen dioceses, seven non-profit organizations, and countless bishops, superintendents, central office staff, school leaders, teachers, boards, alumni, and, of course, students.    My team has grown proportionally to keep up with the high demand and our visibility across so many sectors including private education, higher education, and non-profit organizations is growing. 

This new and improved website reflects our desire to better articulate who we are, what we do, and why we do it.  We are demonstrating what we teach our clients: embrace a culture of continuous improvement!  As we grow, we must also improve while still balancing our desire to remain small, flexible, and available to our clients without counting hours, billing incidentals, and worrying about dollars.  For us this is about passion over profit!

Our work to date has focused on strategic planning, creating or improving governance structures, leadership development, capacity building for enrollment and development, as well as assessing current structures and making recommendations for changes and efficiencies.  But all the work we do, at its core, is about culture.  Until we understand “the way we do things around here” (wherever that may be), we will likely fail in our efforts to bring in effective strategies.  When we find partners aligned to our belief in growth, innovation, and change, we are at our best!

Avanti: always looking ahead with a belief that your organization’s best days are ahead of you, not behind you.  So, as we celebrate our leather anniversary, we do so with a sense of gratitude for the company we are becoming.  Namely, of strength, durability, and continued flexibility!
